Women of Wyndham (WOW) is a not for profit grassroots organisation working towards women empowerment and prevention of family violence with the vision of Educating, Engaging and Empowering women to realise their full potential making Wyndham a safe, diverse and welcoming community. Following are a few of WOW achievements:

  1. Monica continues to help family violence victims’ 1:1 basis helping more than 250 family violence victims and counting.
  2. Organising Women at the Park Event engaging local families and encouraging kids to participate.
  3. Organising Family Wellbeing Day with a credible panel provoking thought, cause, effect and solution.
  4. Organising WOW annual events showcasing women empowerment, equality, recognising champions helping the community partnering with likeminded organisations and people
  5. WOW team meets every week to brain storm and finding ways and means towards achieving its mission and vision engaging women from diverse community to come forward and make a difference.

WOW efforts are being recognised manifold as local councillors, community leaders and politicians support and encourage its initiative and efforts.

VMC meritorious award to Monica Raizada, Certificate of Merit to WOW for Community Innovation as part of Victoria’s Multicultural Awards for Excellence 2016 and Power of Peace Award by Youth for Human Rights International on UN International Peace day etc. are testimony that WOW is moving in the right direction.
